About Community Spatial Futures
Community Spatial Futures is a solo practice founded by Richard Mosinghi MRTPI, a UK Chartered Town Planner. The practice supports households, community groups, and local actors to build clearer understanding of their environment and make grounded decisions about water, land, energy, and everyday resilience.
CSF exists to help people see how their territory works — the patterns, relationships, and constraints that shape daily life — and to explore practical, low‑risk steps that strengthen resilience over time. The work is relational, steady, and rooted in real‑world conditions.

CSF works alongside local actors, supporting them to build confidence in reading their own territory and making decisions rooted in lived experience. The approach is intentionally slow, practical, and grounded — always working at the pace of the people involved.

Who I Am
Founder, Planner & Regenerative Systems Designer
Richard Mosinghi MRTPI is a Planning Officer and systems designer developing the Community Spatial Futures (CSF) methodology, a practice focused on spatial literacy, regenerative design, and community‑led resilience. His work is informed by training with Gaia Education, where he is deepening his understanding of systems thinking and regenerative design.
Richard is currently building the conceptual and technical foundations of CSF, including household‑scale frameworks, modular production systems, and early Monitoring & Evaluation structures.
He is also developing a reflective wellbeing app that supports daily tracking of social, mental, physical, spiritual and financial patterns, complementing CSF’s focus on behavioural architecture and long‑term mentorship.
He holds a master’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from The University of Sheffield, which supports his analytical and design‑led approach.
Richard is developing the Agri‑Mud Hut as CSF’s first prototype site, where ideas can be tested, refined, and translated into practical tools for communities and partners.
